Marketplace fees change often and differ by category, country and seller plan. The defaults are typical published rates, so check the marketplace's current fee page and adjust the fields. This is an estimate and not tax or financial advice. Sales tax and returns are not included.

How to Use
- 1Enter your selling price and what the product costs you landed at your door.
- 2Enter the referral fee percentage for your category and the FBA fulfillment fee for your product size and weight.
- 3Add storage, inbound shipping or other per-unit costs, and your advertising as a share of price.
- 4Read your net profit, margin and break-even price, and set a target margin to find the right price.
How the profit is calculated
The calculator starts from the selling price and subtracts the referral fee, your advertising, the FBA fulfillment fee and your other per-unit costs, then subtracts what the product cost you. The remainder is net profit per unit, shown with a margin on price and a return on your total cost.
What to check before sourcing a product
Fees often take a large share of a low-priced item, so compare the margin and the break-even price before you buy stock. A product with a healthy-looking price can still leave little once the fulfillment fee and advertising are paid.
Keep it current
Amazon updates fee schedules, fuel and other surcharges from time to time. Update the fields from your Seller Central data, and use this as a planning estimate, not an accounting record.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main Amazon FBA fees?
The two biggest are the referral fee, a percentage of the selling price that is about 15 percent in most categories, and the FBA fulfillment fee, a per-unit amount based on size and weight. There are also storage fees, optional inbound or removal fees and your advertising costs.
Where do I find my FBA fulfillment fee?
Amazon's own revenue calculator in Seller Central shows the fee for a specific product based on its dimensions and weight. Enter that number in the FBA fee field, since it varies by size tier and changes over time.
Is the referral fee the same for every category?
No. It is around 15 percent for many categories but lower for some, such as electronics, and tiered for others, such as clothing. Check Amazon's current referral fee table and adjust the percentage.
How do I include advertising costs?
Enter your advertising spend as a share of the selling price, which is how many sellers track it. Your effective advertising cost per unit depends on your conversion rate.
Are returns and sales tax included?
No. Returns, product damage, sales tax and income tax are not included, so keep margin in reserve for them. Treat the result as an estimate for comparing products.
