About ToolboxKit
ToolboxKit is an independent website with free online tools and plain-language guides. This page explains who we are, how we work and how we make sure the numbers you see are reliable.
Who we are
ToolboxKit is an independent project built to make everyday tasks quick: working out a tax, converting a file, checking a loan payment. Most of these jobs should take seconds and should not require installing software, creating an account or uploading private files, so our tools run in your browser.
What we publish
We publish free calculators, converters and text, image and developer tools in nine languages, together with long-form guides that explain the maths and the rules behind them. Several tools are built for one country, such as salary, tax and VAT calculators for Turkey, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Brazil, Indonesia, Poland, the United States and others.
How we check our work
Every calculator is tested against hand calculations, and the formulas and worked examples are shown in the tool's guide and in our articles so you can verify results yourself. Tax and legal figures come from official sources such as tax authorities and legislation, which we link at the end of each article together with the date we last reviewed it. Results are estimates for information and planning, not financial, tax, legal or medical advice.
Corrections and updates
Rates, thresholds and rules change. We update tools and articles when they do, and we correct mistakes when we are told about them. If you find an error or an outdated figure, please write to us on the contact page and we will check it.
Independence and funding
The site is funded by advertising. With the settings we use, ads are not personalized and no advertising or analytics cookies are set. Ads never change a result, and we do not accept payment to publish or rank content. Files and numbers you enter into a tool are processed in your browser and are never sent to us.
