Frequently Asked Questions

What happens with multi-document YAML files?

When a file contains several documents separated by ---, each one becomes an element of a JSON array. A single document converts to a single JSON value.

Are anchors and aliases supported?

Yes. Anchors (&name) and aliases (*name) are resolved, so the JSON output contains the full, expanded values.

Can I use it to validate YAML?

Yes. If the YAML can't be parsed, for example because of broken indentation, you'll see an error pointing to the exact position.

Does my config leave my computer?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. That matters for config files that often contain hostnames or other sensitive settings.
