Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?
Not exactly. A PDF stores text as positioned fragments, not as paragraphs. This tool rebuilds the text into clean, editable paragraphs and headings, so the content is easy to edit. Complex layouts with columns, text boxes, or precise positioning are simplified.
What happens with scanned PDFs?
A scanned page is a picture with no text layer, so it's added to the Word file as an image. To get editable text from scans, run the file through our PDF OCR tool first.
Are images and tables from the PDF included?
The text of tables is extracted, but not as a real Word table, and embedded photos aren't copied. For tables, PDF to Excel usually gives a better result.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, so confidential documents never leave your device.
