JSON Diff — Compare JSON Online
Paste two JSON documents side by side to get a list of every difference. Each one shows its path, like dependencies.react.
Your files never leave your device — everything runs in your browser.
How to Use
- 1Paste the original JSON on the left and the modified JSON on the right.
- 2Leave 'Ignore key order' on to compare only content, not the order of keys.
- 3Read the list of differences: added in green, removed in red, changed in amber.
- 4Use the path shown on each line to find that value in your data.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from a normal text diff?
A text diff compares lines, so reformatting or reordering keys shows up as changes. JSON Diff compares the parsed data, so only real differences in values are reported.
How are arrays compared?
Arrays are compared position by position. If you insert an item at the start of an array, every item after it is reported as changed, because order matters in JSON arrays.
What does the path notation mean?
Paths use dot notation for object keys and brackets for array indexes. For example, orders[0].total is the total field of the first item in the orders array.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Both documents are parsed and compared locally in your browser.
